*edit*
- fixed stretching problem when used at the bottom of the screen
- lots of re-coloring
- start menu themed to match better
- now uses Tahoma 8pt font
- solid colors for taskbar items (I found I cant really use images effectively for that)

Le me know what you think of the changes, esp. the start menu because it's they only stylistic thing I did on this update. the rest of the work was fixes.
============================

This is me doing some work on nitzua's theme "woodwork" which is actually built on top of "Sandwich" by akka.

akka's sandwich theme

I wanted to use it permanently, but saw that the taskbar and maximize window title still have akka's skin instead of the woodwork look.

I might change a few things and eventually finish the skin or start with a skin that is closer to what works well with this wood look. for now I thought I'd share this with you all because I think it's a really sharp looking skin and I made it "done" enough to be pretty functional. I don't use quicklaunch or "hide inactive icons" - if you don't either I don't think you'll notice much limitation with it.

also check out the Reaper skin "bubinga" and the foobar2000 skin OldStyle by weirdoo - I think they fit right in.

As far as all that moding and porting and whathaveyou - I would say just read whatever rights granted by the other two authors and respect them.

looks good, but can you fix it for taskbar on the bottom of screen please. it currently stretches the wood texture across the width of the screen, which looks horrible.

Very well, but could you add a bigger font please (for example Tahoma)? This little letters are little bit to stressfull to the eyes.

can you post a screenshot? I don't have that problem when I put it on the bottom.

desktop resolution is 1280x1024, so I imagine it'll look even worse at larger resolutions.

Good job! This VS is great. Can you add Tahoma font? I change font to Tahoma 8 in advance settings, but i can't change taskbar and clock font.

it took me a second, but now I see what you're talking about. my poor eyeballs...

yeah next time I do some work on it I'll fix the situation. I'll also update the font to Tahoma.

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated so I have some ideas and can knock them all out in one sitting... that goes for everyone that wants to suggest something.

actually I'm not sure how to make it not look stretched out. it uses the same background file for the top and bottom position. I think what happens is that the bottom taskbar only uses a predetermined width, ignoring the actual image's width and then stretches it out. I tried making the woodwork image 1280 pixels wide and it still looks stretched out like that.

yes I'm working on it now.
